The BB King Museum Blues Band was formed to celebrate 100 years of B.B. King’s legacy. This powerhouse ensemble features seasoned musicians with deep roots in blues, jazz, and education.
Led by multi-instrumentalist Dr. Alphonso Sanders, co-founder of BB King Day, the band includes guitar great Jessie Robinson, pianist and educator Jimmie Lee Jr., trumpeter and composer Kimble Funchess, saxophonist Sherrill Holly, bassist and jazz educator Johnny Hubbard, legendary drummer Joe “Eagle” Johnson, international blues ambassador Michael Dennis, and trombonist/keyboardist Eric Edwards.
Together, they carry forward the spirit and sound of the King of the Blues.
